1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Creek’s Edge Goldens (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, communications, services, and all transactions conducted with Creek’s Edge Goldens, a DBA of Creek’s Edge Retrievers, LLC. By accessing our website, contacting us, submitting a puppy application, joining our waitlist, placing a reservation fee, or engaging with us in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of our website and services immediately.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all visitors, prospective buyers, and individuals interacting with us through our site, email, social platforms, GoodDog, or any related service. We reserve the right to revise or update these terms at any time. Any modifications will be posted on this page, and continued use of the website confirms acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Website Use & Content Ownership
All content featured on the Creek’s Edge Goldens website—including text, images, graphics, kennel information, puppy listings, logos, written articles, pricing, contracts, and any other materials—is owned exclusively by Creek’s Edge Retrievers, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, shared, or used for commercial purposes without prior written authorization from us.
Our website is intended for lawful use only. Visitors agree not to engage in any action that disrupts or damages the website or its functionality, including unauthorized access attempts, scraping, data mining, or impersonation of Creek’s Edge Goldens employees or representatives. Information presented on the website serves general informational purposes and may occasionally be updated or corrected. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all details will always be current, free of errors, or uninterrupted by technical issues.
3. Puppy Purchases, Reservation Fees & Waitlist Terms
Adopting an AKC English Cream Golden Retriever from us requires completion of our Puppy Purchase Agreement and adherence to all policies provided during the reservation and adoption process. A puppy is not considered reserved until a reservation fee has been received and confirmed in writing. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the contract, reservation fees are non-refundable.
Joining our waitlist offers priority notification of confirmed pregnancies and puppy availability, but it does not guarantee a puppy from a particular litter. Assignment of pick order and placement on the list is typically determined by the timestamp of the reservation fee or as otherwise outlined in the written agreement.
We reserve the right to deny or discontinue a placement at any time if we determine that doing so is in the best interest of the puppy. If we cancel a reservation before the puppy goes home, any applicable reservation fee will be refunded in accordance with the agreement.
All placement terms—including whether a puppy is sold on limited or full AKC registration—will be clearly defined in the Puppy Purchase Agreement. Puppies may not be resold, transferred, or rehomed without notifying us, and in some Agreements, the dog may be required to be returned to Creek’s Edge Goldens rather than placed elsewhere.
Pricing, litter plans, and availability are subject to change. Final payment requirements, transportation arrangements, and important deadlines are governed exclusively by the written contract, which supersedes any informal or verbal discussions.
4. Health Guarantees, Buyer Responsibilities & Limitations of Liability
All health guarantees and breeder obligations are detailed within the Puppy Purchase Agreement and represent the full and complete understanding between buyer and seller regarding the puppy’s health at the time of sale. The written contract takes precedence over any other communication.
While we carefully select breeding dogs from exceptional, health-tested bloodlines and follow responsible breeding practices, no breeder can guarantee that a puppy will remain free of all health concerns throughout its lifetime. Once a puppy leaves our care, the buyer assumes full responsibility for routine veterinary visits, nutrition, training, grooming, safety, and continued socialization.
Creek’s Edge Goldens is not liable for any veterinary expenses, training costs, behavioral services, transportation, property damage, injury, or other costs associated with the puppy after placement. Decisions regarding medical care, training methods, reproduction, and long-term management rest solely with the buyer.
In no event shall Creek’s Edge Goldens or Creek’s Edge Retrievers, LLC be responsible for consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages arising from website use, communication with us, or the purchase and ownership of a puppy.
5. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Contact Information
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes or claims relating to website use, communications, the adoption process, or a Puppy Purchase Agreement must first be addressed directly with us in an effort to resolve the matter cooperatively. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled as outlined in the Puppy Purchase Agreement, with any legal actions taking place exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction within the State of Alabama.
If any provision in these Terms & Conditions is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Continued use of the website signifies agreement to all terms stated here.
